The Strawheads

The Strawheads are singer song-writers from the flat lands of Cambridgeshire. The duo cut their teeth on the covers' circuit back in the day and have since continued to write and record original material that's a blend of Country (brit-pop style), Rock and Pop.

Having been exposed to more bingo than banjo, The Strawheads are consequently more Fentucky than Kentucky! Note: You are assured that no strong regional or stylistic accents are harmed in the creative process. Although inspired by the classic artists of a previous generation and motivated by brilliant contempories such as Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, Charlie Puth, Jamie Lawson and James Bay, The Strawheads write and perform in their own version of 'now'.

Their signature sound is one of close harmony duet vocals delivered by the unique blend of the gravel-voiced Graham Buxton and the honey-tonsil vocal of Stephen Bottomley. Infectious melodies are fused with a lyrical light and shade that marks them out as two talented song-smiths to watch for. Debut album 'Cheats, Dead Beats and Creeps' is out 2018.
