The Strawheads

The Strawheads are singer songwriters from the dizzy flat lands of Cambridgeshire and were formerly founding members of 4 piece originals band The Sun Kings. Previously the duo cut their teeth on the covers-circuit back in the day and have since continued to write and record original material that's a blend of Country, Rock and Pop. Although influenced by American country, having been exposed to more bingo than banjo The Strawheads are consequently more Fentucky than Kentucky!
Songwriting is inspired by the classic artists of a previous generation and motivated by brilliant contempories such as Lady A, Levi Hummon, Ed Sheeran, Del Amitri and Maren Morris. Their signature sound is one of close harmony duet vocals delivered by the unique blend of the gravel-voiced Graham Buxton and the honey-tonsiled vocal of Stephen Bottomley.
